Sing Hammersmith is a community choir led by professional musician Sam Chaplin, hosted by St Paul’s and open to everyone. We sing a mix of music – classical, pop, jazz, gospel – and seek to perform in a variety of venues in the community.
When does the choir meet?
The main term is the Spring Term, where the choir usually meets on Thursday evenings between 7.30-9.30pm culminating in an Easter Concert performance. We also run occasional Saturday workshop days in the Summer as well as the St Paul's Christmas Choir in the Autumn Term.
The next dates are:

How much does it cost?
It is free to be part of Sing Hammersmith, however we are suggesting people make a donation of £60 for the term towards the running costs of the choir (this works out at £6 per rehearsal). We do not want cost to be a barrier to being part of the choir so people should give as they are able.

No. Most pieces will be taught without sheet music. If we need sheet music for some of the songs, we will teach in such a way that reading music isn’t necessary.
Do I need to be able to read music?
Is there an audition process?
No there isn’t. All you need is enthusiasm for singing and a readiness to learn.
What if I can’t make all the rehearsals? Can I still join?
We’re looking for people who are committed to the choir and our method of teaching the music relies on people attending the rehearsals . However, if you have to miss a few (up to 2) you’re still welcome to join.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at 7:20pm to be ready to start the rehearsal at 7:30pm.
Can my children join the choir?
Anyone around 16 and over can join the choir.
I have friends who want to come to the concert: where can I buy tickets from?
We recommend registering for tickets in advance. They are entirely free. Click here to book.
