Global Vision
globalvisionmain

Our cityshaper vision doesn't stop in London. We believe in making a difference internationally, relieving poverty and improving conditions for the world's poorest. The global vision team exists to raise the profile of these issues and to support church members who are overseas.

Each of us can make a global difference through our work, prayers, campaigning, lifestyle choices and sharing of the gospel.   In Hammersmith the world is on our doorstep. If you're planning to go overseas or if you are interested in mission with a global perspective or issues of social justice, persecution and the environment please get in touch and get involved.

Please find our current prayer card for all the current information for our international partners.

From London

Many members of our congregation are based in London but their work has a global focus. For some that means a lot of travelling. For others it means working with the international community in London. Others are involved in advocacy work on behalf of the world's poorest countries.

There are plenty of ways for you to get involved too – even in your holidays.

To the World

St Paul's proudly supports several families from our congregation who are working overseas on a long-term basis.

Based on four continents, they serve God in a number of ways, including working with refugees, training church leaders and empowering some of the poorest people on earth.

They welcome your prayers – and may have opportunities for you to visit them, whether that's for a week or longer-term.

Testimony

Francis Woods – Global Operations Risk Adviser, Save the Children
I first got interested in the humanitarian sector ten years ago while researching in Uganda for my history degree - I met a friend who was working for Medair and was bowled over by the attitude and work of their team. The idea of working in challenging contexts with a wide variety of people appealed to my inner historian; but the fact that the work was delivering practical assistance for those in urgent need of healthcare and water in some of the toughest parts of the world felt like the my kind of mission. I am now supporting similar projects from London with Save the Children. My faith gives me the drive to seek out the best solutions for people - as well as the patience to pursue them when everything goes wrong!
