We are looking for a Sunday Verger who will be part of a passionate and committed team responsible for facilitating Sunday services, as we seek to see God`s Presence transform our Church community and beyond.Overall Purpose of Role
The Sunday Verger will be responsible for supporting the Sunday teams in facilitating the practical elements required to ensure the smooth running of Sunday services. They will be responsible for opening and locking up the Church, the reset of chairs, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed by the congregation, regularly patrolling the grounds, and working alongside the Hospitality team to assist visitors with questions or concerns.Our Vision at Saint Paul’s

Working Requirements

Role Purpose
As the Social Transformation Manager, you will provide strategic leadership to Saint Paul’s community outreach, driving key programmes, building partnerships, and cultivating a vibrant volunteer culture. Your role will focus on operational support for our core social transformation ministries, safeguarding responsibilities, grant writing and reporting, and volunteer management. You will ensure Saint Paul’s impact is both sustainable and responsive to community needs.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership and Operational Support
Café Concerts: Lead the Café Concerts programme, which hosts 60-70 attendees from diverse backgrounds.
Community Hub: Manage the operational needs of the Community Hub, offering meals, activities, and companionship to those experiencing loneliness, including local asylum seekers.
Love Christmas Project: Coordinate the annual Love Christmas outreach, including volunteer management, fundraising, and logistics to distribute care packages to the community.
Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop new initiatives as needed, such as:
Breakfast Clubs for local schoolchildren
Kids Matter family support programmes
Recovery Groups and Courses with a missional and community focus
Safeguarding and Crisis Support
Act as the primary lead for Adult Safeguarding within Social Transformation, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
Coordinate the Saint Paul’s Safeguarding Team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Support individuals in crisis by connecting them with appropriate resources and guiding them towards programmes addressing root causes.
Grant Management and Reporting
Manage all aspects of grant processes, from identifying funding opportunities to writing applications and maintaining accurate records.
Measure and report on the impact of Saint Paul’s outreach, using existing Love Your Neighbour metrics, providing insights for the Senior Leadership Team, PCC, and funders.
Volunteer Development and Partnership Building
Recruit, train, and support a dedicated volunteer team, building a strong culture of service and engagement.
Foster and maintain relationships with partner charities, including Spear and Crosslight, ensuring their work is aligned with Saint Paul’s mission.
Represent Saint Paul’s within the Love Your Neighbour national movement, networking with local organisations, public sector groups, and stakeholders to strengthen outreach and refine our vision for social transformation.
Perform any other duties as reasonably required to support the team and the organisation's objectives.

Role Purpose
The Bookings Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of venue bookings at Saint Paul’s, ensuring a seamless experience for internal ministries and external clients alike. The role involves managing the church calendar, facilitating excellent communication, coordinating events, and ensuring that all bookings align with the church’s mission and values. With a heart for hospitality, the Bookings Manager will ensure that every interaction and event reflects the welcoming ethos of Saint Paul’s.
Key Responsibilities
Bookings and Client Communication
Manage the church calendar, ensuring ministry events, partner charity bookings, parish activities, and external hires are accurately scheduled without conflicts.
Respond promptly to booking enquiries, confirm availability, and provide clients with pricing and venue use terms, ensuring clear and professional communication throughout the booking process.
Build strong relationships with clients through regular contact, conducting site visits, and providing a welcoming experience to encourage repeat business and positive referrals.
Event Coordination and Resource Management
Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external suppliers to plan and deliver seamless events, coordinating staffing, production, and set-up requirements.
Ensure smooth event execution by being present onsite to address client questions, monitor logistics, and resolve any issues that arise.
Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to maintain venue equipment and resources, ensuring they are in good working condition for all bookings.
Financial Management and Reporting
Prepare accurate quotes and manage pricing structures, ensuring alignment with the church’s policies and overhead costings.
Coordinate with the Finance Manager to ensure timely and accurate invoicing for all bookings.
Maintain detailed records of bookings, client communications, and contracts, generating regular reports on booking trends and revenue for leadership review.
Team Leadership and Strategic Development
Recruit and manage teams for site cover and production support, providing leadership and ensuring high standards of service.
Assist in developing promotional materials, including brochures, website content, and venue photography, to enhance the profile of Saint Paul’s as a premium event venue.
Engage with advertising platforms to attract new bookings and expand the reach of Saint Paul’s venue services.
Flexibility and Mission Alignment
Adapt to the needs of the role, being flexible to work evenings, weekends, or additional hours as required.
